1. Hot Drinks Make You Feel Cooler

In order to cool ourselves down from the inside out, most of us switch from hot coffee to iced tea and cold frappucinos in the summer. But that isn’t how the human body actually functions! Instead, you should consume a hot beverage.

This alerts your body to the fact that it needs to sweat. Sweating is the most effective and healthy way to cool your body since perspiration is your body’s natural defense mechanism against overheating. As the sweat evaporates, it leaves your skin feeling much cooler.

2. Handwritten Information is Better Memory

Almost everything from high school notes to letters is now typed, so writing things by hand, using pen and paper (ugh!) feels like a thing of the past. Did you know, though, that you are more prone to forget information that you type than information that you handwrite?

That’s correct. Handwritten information is easier to absorb and hence stays in your memory for longer, according to Indiana University researchers. They claim that this is because handwriting is slower than typing since you have to think and make an effort to compose the letters and words because you’re looking directly at what you’re writing (rather than at the computer).
